Lovers of innovation and committed to realizing jewelry in line with the tastes of a demanding clientèle, abreast with the times.
Their jewelry conveys a particular charm, obtained by uniting three different styles: the expression of the founder, following a classical imprint, and the most varied artistic evolution of the son and grandson.
The history of the Negri workshop begins in 1937 in Rome, where Giovanni opened his first laboratory. In 1971 his son Tito Livio opened a second workshop in the center of Rome and in 1984 was joined by grandson Fabrizio. In many years of work, the goldsmith workshop has always carried out constant technical and design research.
The first historical workshop was renovated in 2013 and here new lines are proposed. The Renaissance spirit is maintained, but with a renewed style to keep up with the times through unique and customized pieces.
Recently, a series of light sculptures have been added to the usual production of jewelry, in collaboration with the architect Gabriella Quercia, and these have aroused great interest among architects and interior designers.
Giovanni's first jewelry collections were embossed and chiseled and featured fine tracery. The style was renewed by his son Tito Livio, who graduated in architecture and introduced new techniques and the use of original materials such as minerals and natural crystals, unconventional stones, precious woods, dichroic glass and titanium with its iridescent colors.
Meanwhile, the third generation – grandson Fabrizio – grew up in the workshop shop and found his own space in a third style line. The three styles, together, result in a wide range of products, which have been displayed in several exhibitions in Italy and abroad, as well as in the most prestigious magazines of the industry.
Notable works and events
Fabrizio received recognition and awards in 1994, in 1998, and in 2001 at the competition reserved for young jewelers within the "Precious Desires" exhibition, which has been held in Rome for over twenty years. In 2009 he participated in the "Dream Factory" in Beijing at Space 798 with the best Roman goldsmiths, including Bulgari.
Since 1971, the main store is located in the historic center of Rome.
